Huanying and thanks for checking out the Chicago Chinese Language Meetup Group!

WHAT WE'RE ABOUT
This meetup is a way for people who share an interest in Chinese language and culture to make friends, share information, and do things together. Native speakers and learners of all levels are welcome.

HOW WE WORK
We have a mixer the first Sunday of every month, and more events as members suggest them. Anyone in the group can suggest an additional event by contacting the Organizer or an Assistant Organizer and asking to have it listed.

We don't offer Chinese classes, but we do share advice and referrals. The meetup can also be a great way to meet a language exchange partner or join a study group.

To cover the $144-a-year Meetup website fee, we ask returning members to chip in $1 at each monthly meeting they attend. If it's your first time, just enjoy yourself!

For a list of schools in the area and online that offer Chinese classes, go to http://chinese.meetup.com/11/boards/view/viewthread?threa....

Our next meetup will be held at House of Fortune Restaurant. The owner is from Wuhan and has promised us that he would be making only Wuhan food 武汉菜 no matter how much begging there is for orange chicken or any General Tso related items.

Forgive me for not changing the settings earlier. If anyone is having issues, please feel free to call me at 773-633-8887.

What members are saying

To meet other people who have lived and worked in Asia.
