Thailand is one of our neighbors in Asia and many Chinese live there.

Come celebrate Thai New Year at the Buddhist Temple in Silver Spring. Offer alms to the monks and eat the best Thai food you'll ever taste in DC. The opportunity comes around only once a year.

Directions: Take the Red Line to the Glenmont Metro. Wait there for the shuttle bus to take you to the Temple.

BRING CASH!! YOU WILL NEED IT FOR ALL THE YUMMY FOOD.

      “ The festival was great but much like the Asian Festival in Reston there is just too big a crowd.....so we got separated and only ran into a couple of members towards the end. ”

      “ I never did find the group to meetup, but enjoyed the festival on my own anyway. ”
    • “ I wasn't able to arrive until after 1:00. The food was good. The dancing was great. The crowds were difficult but not impossible to negotiate. The monks need to plan those passage ways somewhat better. The only true negative was the parking situation. That was horrendous. ”
