Introduction
Dajia hao! My name is Evelyn and I am an Assistant Organizer. My job is to welcome you and encourage participation. I am now an Intermediate II student. If you have any ideas please let me know.
What are your favorite Chinese dishes and foods?
Dim Sum, whole steamed fish with ginger slices, crispy shrimp, steamed and fried dumplings, and anything my Mom cooks.
How would you describe your level of Chinese? (Eg it's my native language OR I don't speak it OR I learned some dialect from my family but little Mandarin, OR I can speak a few words, simple conversations, etc.)
Current leverl is Intermediate II. Took classes at Berlitz, taking classes at USDA Grad School. Went to Suzhou University in Suzhou, China to study Mandarin for 3 weeks with the Howard Community College Study Abroad Program.
What kind of events and activities would you be interested in? What would you like to do at our events?
Chinese movies at the Freer, Chinese art and exhibitions, big fan of Beijing Opera, dining and practicing Mandarin.
What could this group provide for you that no other Meetup could?
Speaking Mandarin on an on-going basis. Immediate involvement and welcoming group. Thanks, Elaine.

Born in Washington, DC. Parents born in China. Speak some Cantonese. Have been learning Mandarin for the past 2 years and will continue studies.
