Hi, my name is Robert. I have always admired and respected the Chinese culture and would love to learn more about it. I have been to China, but didn't know the language well enough. I hope you guys are patient with me, I really want to learn.

"Would like to go back to China with the ability to verbally interact with the people. For now, it will be great to meet new friends and learn a new language while I'm at it. I live in Laurel, MD but don't mind going into the city for this occasion."

The Washington Chinese Language and Culture meetup group, Beginner's sector is great. Everyone enjoys everyone else's company and are very eager to help out where needed with vocab and pronunciation. I find it fascinating to hear other people's stories on why they're here and what they hope to gain from the group. I plan on making learning Chinese a lifelong project and always looking forward to what I will learn tomorrow. :)
