Introduction
Grew up in Taiwan and came to US for law school in 2003. Relocated to DC area for work since the fall of 2006. Great to meet you here...
What are your favorite Chinese dishes and foods?
Three Cup Chicken (Favoriate Hakkanese Dish), Oyster Pancake, Oyster noodles, Mushroom Chicken Soup, Brewed Beef, Orange Beef, Rice Dumpling, Chinese Hot Pot, Fried Onion with Pork, ... etc.
How would you describe your level of Chinese? (Eg it's my native language OR I don't speak it OR I learned some dialect from my family but little Mandarin, OR I can speak a few words, simple conversations, etc.)
Native enough to remember some Chinese poems....
What kind of events and activities would you be interested in? What would you like to do at our events?
Chinese movies, Mahjong game learning, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid- Autumn Festival and other cultural/social events; Greeting new people and help organizing the events
What could this group provide for you that no other Meetup could?
It provides a nice opportunity to meet other Chinese speakers from my own culture and at the same time, builds a bridge for people from other culture who are interested in Chinese culture. It offers more intercultural interactions.
