Introduction

I need to work on my Mandarin skills :)

What are your favorite Chinese dishes and foods?

HMMM??? I would have to salute General Tsao!!

How would you describe your level of Chinese? (Eg it's my native language OR I don't speak it OR I learned some dialect from my family but little Mandarin, OR I can speak a few words, simple conversations, etc.)

My first language is Cantonese, but i want to learn Mandarin.

What kind of events and activities would you be interested in? What would you like to do at our events?

I am open for anything....meeting people..practicing my language skills..and oh yeh...eating!!

Where did you grow up? How did you learn Chinese? Tell us your story.

I was born in RI, but I moved all around the US. My family decided to send me to military school, so I was there for 6 years. Yes, I started military school in the 7th grade and gradauted 6 years later. Quite a life!! I graduated from the University of Colorado, and I was commissioned as a Naval Officer. I went to Flight School, and I was sent to Washington State. As for my language skills, I started taking private lessons from a local tutor.
