Introduction
I moved to live in D.C. since May, 10 2008 and I would like to study chinese and have a chance to talk with chinese people or maybe it will be useful when I go to travel in China in 3 years

How would you describe your level of Chinese? (Eg it's my native language OR I don't speak it OR I learned some dialect from my family but little Mandarin, OR I can speak a few words, simple conversations, etc.)
I used to take 2 courses of Chinese language from Thailand many years ago so I can speak a few words and some basic conversations.
