Introduction

I need to practice my Chinese! That and I love the Chinese language and culture.

What are your favorite Chinese dishes and foods?

麻婆豆腐,四川菜, 火锅,豆沙包

How would you describe your level of Chinese? (Eg it's my native language OR I don't speak it OR I learned some dialect from my family but little Mandarin, OR I can speak a few words, simple conversations, etc.)

I studied Chinese in college and was at an advanced level upon graduation in 2008. However, I haven't used it since, so my spoken could use a LOT of work!

What kind of events and activities would you be interested in? What would you like to do at our events?

Language practice and cultural discussions. I'd also love to get together for a big, traditional Chinese meal.

What could this group provide for you that no other Meetup could?

Chinese language practice in the DC area.

Where did you grow up? How did you learn Chinese? Tell us your story.

I learned Chinese at Georgetown. Lived in Shanghai for 6 months studying abroad.
