hey everyone THE BAND RENTED OUT the venue slot just for this event! so we reaaally need your help to make it to this one and bring your friends! it's going to be our biggest show of the year.

after a little more then a year of conflict/recording/arranging/songwriting.. and a lot hard work in the studio...finally the CD is complete!

______________________________________________________________________________________________
The band also got 2 HOTEL ROOMS at "Best Western Bowery Hanbee Hotel"
(231 Grand Street) - 10 min walking distance from the venue
everyone feel free and stop by get some free shots or beer before or after the show.
(call any of the band members after 5 or 6pm that day for the hotel room #)

we suggest split a hotel room so you have a place where can drink before/after party/place to crash... saves bar money..especially
(not that much for 1 night to split.. 15-20 bux a person max)

for people worry about parking the show's Saturday night.. and Sunday is free parking in the city.. just don't leave your GPS in your car....

We partner with 1000+ venues (including Marquee and Mansion), party promoters, event planners, and event services in New York!

We and anybody attending Mandarin Mondays through ConnectionZ Promotions have the whole place to ourselves! Capacity is about 150, which means that we will fill every square centimeter of this venue!

This party was just waiting to happen..and by popular demand (see reasons below):

1) Many native speakers want to make American friends
2) Many American friends want opportunities practice Mandarin Chinese in a relaxed setting
3) There has never been a large scale bridge-building weekly party celebrating Chinese language and culture

We have unlimited potential to grow the party and make a mark on nightlife history as one of the best after-work cultural parties. Our group is definitely the foundation of the party, with such a diverse mix of native speakers, American born-Chinese, and people learning Mandarin Chinese.
We will brand this party so that it will grow and attract people locally and from all over the world, tourists and visitors who are here in-town on Mondays. I will be doing outreach to Chinese organizations, groups and communities, as well as to language schools, your help in spreading the word (if you're excited about the party =)) will be appreciated!

ORIENTED Happy Hour in New York!

You and your friends are cordially invited to join us on Thursday, February 26 at STAY in New York!

If you are interested in business or career opportunities in Greater China, want to network with other like-minded, international professionals in New York who share the same interests, or just want to stay abreast of what's happening in one of the most exciting regions of the world today, this is the place to be!

To learn more about who attends the ORIENTED Happy Hours and why, check out these Youtube videos!

Dress code: Professional Attire or Business Casual

Mention Mandarin Mondays or ConnectionZ for $5 Reduced admission!

Address: 244 East Houston (bet. Avenues A & B)
New York, NY 10002
Subway: F/J/M/Z at Delancey - Essex Sts.
F/V at 2nd Ave. - Houston St.

We will be hosting this month's Happy Hour on the First Floor of Stay. This month's event will be a networking Happy Hour and Birthday Bash all rolled into one. If you have enjoyed attending ORIENTED Happy Hours since the current Organizing Team re-launched it in May 2007, come out to help celebrate the birthdays of four of your Organizers (Gina, Janet, Joanne and Lisa)! We look forward to seeing you there...:)

* We have great giveaway items sponsored by Mary Kay, Halu Japanese Restaurant and Chill Spa.

At Stay, a very subtle sign on its front window makes this nightspot feel discreet--despite its well-traveled Houston Street location. A mod, curvaceous couch lines one wall, '60s-style lounge chairs provide additional seating, and retro-futuristic pendant lamps cast a sexy red glow. The only thing that's missing in this chic space is a snooty attitude; instead, there's a welcoming, inclusive, laid-back vibe.

Happy Hour specials:
$5 beers, $6 wine, $8 top shelf liquor

Tell your friends and colleagues about this exciting event, and don't forget to bring your business cards! We look forward to seeing you soon!

As I've recently announced, I've recently connected with ACN (partnership with ConnectionZ Promotions), world's largest telecom direct seller, and they have available awesome Trump-endorsed videophone technology (phone of the future!) that will be featured in Celebrity Apprentice primetime for 2 hours that may fit the needs of my long-time vision of videoconferencing our beloved ex-Assistant Organizer Kat (in Qingdao), our Mandarin sista Lillian (in Guizhou), our Bejing connection Chiuming and other Mandarin Mondays members....live! Imagine Kat giving brief lessons directly from Mainland China to our crowd of 100+ during our Mega Meetup or our intimate shared dinner- I can invite the papers to cover us!

Here's a brief clip!
http://connectionz.acnrep.com/video.asp?IDNum=E25A181B-E614-4D89-8603-8A4A392BC56F

ACN Iris Videophone comes out to roughly $230 ($99 plus setup, etc.)
$29.99/mo, unlimited local/long distance and ridiculously cheap international rates (5 cents/min)!
Requires high-speed internet (actually it will work off wireless or possibly even cellular reception!!!)

If you're interested in pitching in together as a group and investing in this phone so that we can videoconference with phone and also interestingly get involved with the future Google of telecom's expansion to China, please go to Mandarin Mondays Videoconferencing Project Fundable Account (suggested $10 - keep in mind that this is a long-term group investment...even a couple dollars will help us be able to initiate this exciting Mandarin communication barrier-breaking project faster! I've made the first donation!)

Incidentally when the time is right, I may help ACN lead its expansion to China, and we can all be involved, as I have the inside connection to the regional leader Bilal Saleem (our guest speaker from last Monday's event) who's connected with the co-founders of ACN!

Check out below ASAP!
