The Singer is Sun Yan Zi. She is also known as Stephanie Sun. You can google her of course, but on youtube you can check out some of her songs at: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=sun+yan+zi&search_type=&aq=f
You should also check out her rendition of "Hey Jude" in English.

"FYI, There are going to be series of Chinese films from the 60's at the Bell Museum and Walker Art Center starting on November 4th. I think that there are 14 of them. See link below for details...."
