You have to sign up through UMKC Communivesity. Do not RSVP here until you have paid your tuition through them, then I will know who will definitely be there.

Hey guys, I thought this looked interesting for you tea lovers or for those who would like to know more about tea. I have my favourite tea expert, but I thought it would be fun to get another point of view.

Introduction to Tea
Did you know that tea is the second most popular
beverage in the world, behind water? We will
prepare, taste and discuss the different types of tea
while learning about its history, varieties, cultural
backgrounds and rituals, health benefits and different
methods of preparation. You will receive a
sample of your choice to take home. Keith manages
Temple Slug, a local retail store. They are opening
a new tea house next door to Temple Slug this fall.
Being half British and Chinese, Keith represents
two of the major tea cultures and has been drinking
it all his life (you might say it’s in his blood).

Hello everyone, I am posting this at the kind request of Xi. Thank you Xi.
I went to this festival several years ago and enjoyed it greatly. I think all of you will enjoy it as well. If you go, pick out the similarities and differences of the Japanese culture and Chinese culture.

Yes, I know it's not Chinese...just thought it will be fun to get together and speak some Chinese around Asian ambience.
I've been to the one last year and it was pretty good, shows were great, food was good!

Check the link above for details, it starts from 10am I think, all the way to the evening. $7 tickets for adult.

If we can't make it together this time, still looking forward to some future Meetups with you guys :)

Hello everyone,
We will meet at Edokko for sushi, sashimi, terriyaki, or soba noodle soup. The owner is Chinese and maybe we can coax her into talking with us in Chinese. So brush up, and bring a little notebook to write down key words and phrases.

Since reservations will be necessary, I do require comitted RSVPs only.

Hope to see you there.

Also, Dragon boat festival will be coming in June. Keep watching for that.

Any questions email me directly: angiejennings@yahoo.com

Thank you,
Angie
